Bought a tuned 300 SRT8. Can i use a new Diablo to connect?

Hi there,

i am new in this Forum. Apologize for stupid questions and poor English. (I am German)

I bought my 2008 Chrysler 300 SRT8 here in the UK. The Dealer got the car in exchange to a new one.

It is in a very good shape and had cold Air Intake and a Magnaflow Exhaust .

It comes with a Dyno Print Out which says 460 HP. It drives very well.

In the Paperwork it comes up that this tune was done with a Diablosport Equipment.

I do not have this equipment so i am thinking to get a T1000 to play with.

Is it a problem to connect a new T1000 to the car which has already a Diablo Tune?

What will happen when the battery get disconnected ? The car goes soon to a Main dealer to fix an issue with the Airbag. (Manufacture Recall)

if you try to use a new tuner it will prompt you to get the vehicle back to stock before it tries to do anything.
If it makes 460 rwhp it muct be modified, and likely has a custom tune. I would honestly suggest leaving it alone as it is.
The tune will not change from a battery reset.

thanks for your answer.
The Print out from the Dyno says 460 engine HP not RW HP. Just want to be honest and stay with the facts.
So i agree that there must be a tune on it but i think it should have a bit more.
Thats why i ask.
Can the new Trinity bring the ecu back to stock or do i have to go to a main dealer to do that?

we can force the trinity t bring it back to stock, but if there is a custom tune there now it will be lost in that process.
Dybnos dont measure engine power, so no clue how they came up with that number

i will check the print out again and will posted here.
Maybe they add the 15% gerabox loss on top of the RWHP and come up with that number?

Anyway we will see.

if they are adding made up numbers to get a made up flywheel number, the whole dyno session was a waste of time

Hi Mikel,

dont know if they made it up.
Looks for me ok.
Maybe they do it different in Uk
They measure the RWHP but also give a crank HP.
The Crank one will be calculated by the system i guess.

Just one question. It is not possible to "read out" the map from the ECU and store it in the Trinity?

Unfortunately no, the device will not save a previous tune as a backup file.
