Guys - I am looking at the predator for my next mod but have questions on the following topics viewed on this forum. 1) Is rough idling still an issue at start up? 2) Will this tuner improve fuel economy? 3) Is anyone still experiencing surging at cruising speeds? 4) Can you input tire size to improve efficiency and 5) Will this stack with a Van Aaken 3.1?
Any feedback to these questions will be greatly appreciated. Below are my current mods.
04 CTD, 4spd auto, 4" homemade air intake, 5" turboback exhaust, Boost elbow, grid heater delete, 315/70/17 BFG tires.
Thanks,
George

the 7130 which is for your truck has no idling or surging issues, the 7131 for 06-07 were having some problems,it should get you some better mpg, every truck is diferent though,i get some decent numbers with the pred, the 7130 doesnt adjust tire size un fortunatly,is the van aken a presure only box?if it is you can use a stacker tune on the pred no problem,if the van aken does timing then you can still stack just download the custom tunes on this site that have no timing added.the 7130 is a great programer for the dollar.

Yes, the va c3.1 is a smartbox with pressure only and boost fooler. I really works great as it doesn't really push the CTD, as I currently don't have gauges! However, I was looking at the xzt recon by quadzilla and sounds like its a economical way to monitor the criticals such as boost, egt's and tran temps...do you have any feedback on this setup?
Gauges are next, then predator!
Thanks for the feedback,

i had a vanaken on my 01 dodge,i really liked it too, great botom end,the quad recon is an excelent choice, his customer service is fantastic and makes great products,i have a quad camander for gauges and a x2 race box for adjustability,a recon with the pred on performance and your van aken for adjustability would be a great setup, try going to www.dieseltruckresource.com theres execelent guys and a wealth of info on everything there
