Still Freezing Up

I had to get help from phone support getting my i-1000 to update a month ago as it wouldn't download... that worked and i was able to connect to my 2007.5 silverado w/5.3L. i installed the 87 tune and disabled DOD. right on! now i figure i'd hook up and play with some of the shift settings to firm that up a little... nope. I cannot connect to the truck. the tool is fully updated. i've phoned in a couple time and tried the following as a result of the phone calls.
- disconnect multiple fuses
- turn anything and everything off
- have charger on battery (battery is a month old)
- disconnect (factory) stereo from dash
- disconnect trailer brake controller
- don't have any other aftermarket add-ons at all

the tuner connects to truck, but when prompted for 'key on' it freezes after 5 seconds. i cannot even use the scan tool or anything.
pretty frustrating to not be able to connect to my vehicle in any way since installing the tune.

1) is this common?
2) is there anything else i can try?
3) if i need to basically unplug my whole truck every time i want to connect the tool... i'd like to restore the factory tune and sell this thing... oh wait! i can't connect to even do that!

please help!

Well... was an issue with the tool

Mike did a registry reset and forced my original back into the truck... it took the tune without anything needing to be unplugged!

now to play around!

The server still lives. Just try getting on at another time. I for one just got up before posting, and usually get on later in the day.
