Re: Checking / Installing Updates

I gave up and unplugged it. I managed to get another laptop with Windows 10 and I installed Ignition. I connected the device and after two loops of device updating, and restarts, it seemed as if the updates took. Ignition got to the screen were it was offering additional licenses. I unplugged the i3 and took it to the car. It booted and allowed me to begin the 93oct tune write. It took the original backup and then prompted me to install the tune with the usual key off, key on prompts. It then indicated that the load failed and to reboot. I rebooted and now it back to checking / installing updates. Good grief.

Updated info.xml attached. I guess I'll try Ignition again.

Ok, car is dead. Apparently the failed tune load left it in an inoperable state. The i3 just wants to check for updates when I plug it into the car no matter how many time I use Ignition to update it and it indicates it is updated. HELP please.

With a little bit more research I saw a post where someone disabled the wifi, so I did the same here. Plugged the unit into the car and it gave me the menu. I was able to restore the car back to stock and the car started. I then plugged the i3 back in and proceeded to load the 93oct tune again. This time, after taking the original backup, the tune took and the car started. I unplugged the i3 took it over to the laptop and booted it up. I deleted all the wifi connection information and then turned my wifi back on. So far so good, but what a bunch of crap. Now let's see if I can get a custom tune on it.

I did manage to get the custom tune loaded on the car, but only after having to restore the car back to stock twice. If I have to do that each time I want to update the custom tune, this is going to take a while
