did you happen to go down the track before and after raising the shift points?
any idea what kind of ETA you picked up from raising them? Stock pulleys?

Thanks
Stock pulleys. Hard to determine the gains because I changed several things.
CMR Tune with LMI CAI and CMR Trans. tune picked up .3 and 5 mph in the 1/4 mile.

Have you talked with Johan about the suggestions Jay Greene Provided here?
Why did you have to help HHP in the first place? Why couldn't they fix whatever issue they were having on their own? Are you going to offer the same level of support to everyone else here?

Johan did the suggestions Jay provided, even reached out to Diablosport (not sure who), looked at TCM file and couldn't figure out what was wrong. All I wanted was raised shift points, nothing more.

I also reached out to other tuners and so far none of the big ones are offering Diablosport TCM tuning to customers, including HHP. BTW TopCat has passed away for over a year now, you must be referring to his wife Linda in which HHP has a sponsorship with and doesn't count as a regular customer.
They weren't having problems. We simply work with them as we do all CMR tuners and offer assistance as needed. Our Chrysler calibrator spends his evening s on the phone with Josh while he is at the track or dyno whenever he needs assistance with something.

I dont know why HHP is not offering tcm tuning but thats up to him for sure. Obviously Jay Greene is and seems to be having positive results. So is Hemifever.

I am aware the owner of topcat passed away, but the way I understand it, the car itself is known as topcat, and Josh still takes it down the track and has been after the overall Hellcat record for a while now. Hes been making more power than anyone else for a while (based on trap speed) but was having problems getting all down the track. He got past that and went 8.8 over the weekend. Tuned with CMR.

I am trying to help but you are just going back and forth with me.
Can you tell me how the car behaves with the canned tune that is provided? It was developed on a 16 Hellcat we have here and it works great.

If the canned tune works, load it and then post the tcm backup and ltw files here and I'll get the shift points raised for you.

If the canned tune doesn't work for some reason, please post the files and describe what happens when its loaded and we will wort it out.

Thanks
The canned diablosport TCM tune works fine. It is when I attempt to have a CMR tuner raise the shift point is when the issues occur. I've had Johan (who is an employee of yours) and MikeOST look at it. Johan even had one of your engineers attempt to raise the shift point from just the diablosport TCM tune, but that resulted in the out of gear issues just like the other person reported.

I will post the backup TCM file later tonight when I am home. Also what is the "ltw" files?

Brent Hughes DTP Racing?

You are the only one on Hellcat.org that has a working TCM tune with a raised shift point with zero issues, outside of a sponsored car.

I want to know how he was able to do yours without issues while the rest of us just ran into problems as you can see in that thread.

Johan left Diablosport a couple years ago ;)

We have a 16 Hellcat in the parking lot here that shifts at 6500 all day. Gotta be a simple solution here.

Please load the canned tune and then post the backups and last tune written files from the pcm and tcm and we'll sort it out.

I am off tomorrow and won't be back until Monday unfortunately.

Brent is a great tuner. I have had no problems with unlocked PCM, I3 Platinum or CMR tunes.

Thanks,

I will give this a try. Is the shift point raised for just certain modes, like Track, or is it across the board? A

Hi,

Finally got a chance to test out your TCM tune. I have to admit it took me a while to work up the nerve to install this after all the TCM transmission issues I went through previously.

However, I loaded this up and I didn't have any transmission issues at all. Drove a few miles and the car shifted like stock. Which is a relief because I was half expecting it to get suddenly stuck in gear or completely out of gear while driving.

After a few miles of regular driving I did some pulls. Looks like the car is shifting higher but the shift points have been increased by only by a hundred or two rpms? Is the 6350 in the file name mean to indicate the shift point was set to 6350? From what I can tell it shifts just after 6000 rpms. Either way, I'm perfectly acceptable with it.

One thing I did notice that when using the paddles to manually downshift to the lowest gear (from a roll), it will autoshift just prior to 6000 rpms. So it looks like the raised shift points only works when just flooring it and not engaging the paddles. Again, I'm perfectly fine with this behavior. Shifting occurs in all modes I tested (sport, track, custom).

So all in all I'm actually impressed. I attached a data log of my test runs. According to the logs it seems to shift about 6200 rpms. I'm glad you took the time to look into this issue and getting results.

I would like to know what was different or changed from the diablosport performance tcm tune.

Thanks.
