shift rpm question

Post by saleen9973 »

Hi i have a 2005 ls2 gto. It has tha auto 4l65e trans. My question is, i set my shift rpm to 6000 in non sport and sport mode, and when i floor it the car doesn't shift til redline, which is around 6500. Why is it doing this? Then i switched it 6400 shift rpm and it shifts at 5800 rpm. So i switched it to 6100 and the freaking car bangs off rev limit and never shifts!!! WTF

Its gonna be a bit. I am in the process of putting a new converter and long tubes on it. May be a week.

Well i erased the tune in it and restarted fresh. Now it shifts at the regular rpm, i think 6200 or so. I set it on 91 tune. At least its not banging off rev limit. I had a 2018 vette behind me today and he wanted some so i hit it and he hit it and he couldnt catch me.
