Can’t program my new truck with i2

Hi guys I had my i2 on my 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 6.2l i traded the truck off so I had returned it to stock. I then installed updates on the i2 through the ignition download tool and it had said updates completed. I then tried to install my i2 in my new truck. It is a 2018 GMC Sierra with a 6.2l. Now when I tried to install the tune on it there was a message about Ecuador needing updates and to reconnect to the ignition download tool and load the updates so I did this again and I got a message saying something about waiting for a couple hours and I should receive a message from powerteq cloud. I have not received a message yet. Just wondering if the tuner will actually work on this truck or have I done something wrong. I have attached the message I got please help.

yes it will work on the truck.. I've done a ton of them.. that message is normal.. 2017/2018 vehicles require a special unlock sequence... so what will happen is, when you go to install a tune the first time, the tool will give you a message that "one or more controllers can not be tuned - Contacting powertech for vehicle unlock... you will be notified within 1-2 days" - or something similar to that effect.. so then in 1-2 days (usually within an hour though) you should receive an email (if you registered your tool on diablo's site) that your update is ready.. so then you'd run the Ignition Updater on the tool again, and it will update the tool with the unlock code for your ECM, and then you'd be able to tune the vehicle.
