I am having the exact same problems with a 2001 lightning. Saved the base tune, then said "couldn't load tune" and now always says that it will try to re-load the stock tune when the predator is restarted. I completely removed the alarm off of the vehicle (the only aftermarket thing on it -- although I have programmed with Code alarms installed hundreds of times). I also had the Predator re-set and tried again with a brand new ecu from Ford. Exact same thing happens. Any answers to this one????

Ok, I actually fixed it! I could update the 8r11 predator to the new 9r01 revision b/c it was only a year old -- (straight off of a wd's shelf). The other one that is almost 2 years old (from the born on date, but still brand new) that has the 8r10 in it is completely useless with new Ford ecu revisions. Can I send it in to have the hardware updated so I can update it to 9r01, or is there going to be a new revision of the firmware soon?
So, short story... old revisions of firmware do not work with new Ford revisions. Predators that more than a year old cannot be updated due to old hardware -- is this true?
Thanks,
Mike
