Support for 2019 GMC Sierra 6.2L 10-Speed

Post by YESA »

Hey Gentlemen,

Searched the forum thoroughly before posting this. Sorry if its been a thread already.

Can we get an update on the support for the new 2019 Sierra/Silverado 6.2L 10-Speed combo?

Specifically, what challenges do you guys forsee? What are the potential date estimates for release?

Will the engine tuning be released before the transmission is?

Just ordered one of these. Don't feel like buying GM'S over priced intake/tune option from the dealer.

Thanks,

10-speed transmission can not be tuned at all...

and only the 2019 Silverado Legacy 5.3 engine can be tuned at this point... The 2019 Silverado 6.2 is not currently supported...

Also, if your truck has that e-Assist or auto stop/start hybrid setup, it can not be tuned at all...

So there is no plans to release a product for the 2019 Denali 6.2l? Its not a hybrid....not sure where you read that option, there is no Hybrid 6.2l for 2019....

Its just a 6.2L - 10 speed. It has auto-start stop, but not a hybrid or battery assist.

Are you an official product developer here? Sorry I just expected a more professional response... In my business reassuring a customer of potential positive outcomes...is a good idea. Especially because I've bought your products before.

Unfortunately GM has seen fit to lock down the PCM in the new body style 2019 trucks. At this time there is no tuning support available anywhere, and its tough to say if it will become available. We have purchased a 2019 Sierra 6.2 and are doing everything in our power to get it to cooperate ;)

I happen to have worked with diablosport for 12+ years bud... product tester, helped to fix/correct/test programming and tuning issues with the programmers, provide diablosport product/tuning support on several GM forums as a vendor for Diablosport, etc etc.. . not that I have to explain myself to you...

Just telling you all of the info available man... whether or not you want to hear it, is another thing... Yes there are 2019 e-assist options for trucks.. and yes there are 2019 trucks with the auto stop/start... even just the auto stop/start is a form of hybrid vehicle, because it runs on battery power, and can not be tuned.. just like 2016 vehicles (such as the 2016 new body style chevy Cruze, one of the 5 GM vehicles I own) which have the auto stop/start "hybrid" feature, it is not supported and can't be tuned...

And as you can see from Mikel's post above, as I had told you, your 2019 6.2 is not supported...

So rather than mislead you and give you false hope, saying what you want to hear (seems like all people these days, don't want to be offended) and say, "sure, it will be supported!!" I'd rather give you the straight-up truth about the issues with the new vehicles man... I don't BS anyone.. I tell it like it is..

Would you rather I lied to you and told you, yes it will be supported soon!! and then 3 years from now when it still can't be tuned, you be pissed off for me telling you that??? No, I don't play that way man...

At this point, there is no 6.2 support anywhere, from anyone... and in fact, diablo supports more 2017, 2018 5.3 AND 6.2 vehicles than anyone else.. others only support the 5.3's for those years...

But for 2019, there is no 6.2 support anywhere..

And no matter what, the 10 speed tranny will not be able to be tuned period...

Have a good night.

Appreciate the data. Not the attitude. Guess you have a good hold on the market to speak to clients like that on a public forum.

Cheers gents. Guess I'm stuck buying the "GM Performance package from the dealer..."

Sorry for 'upsetting' you brother.
