Am I missing something or are you trying using a U7131 tune on a 04.5 truck ? or do you have a newer truck you are talking about?c7reed wrote:My Cal ID is 20325233AL, Dont know if you needs this too but Version: v.9r01 and Born: 03-26-2008.

No my truck is a 2004.5 and i bought the U7130. The U7131 was referred to in this thread becuase i've read all over the dodge diesel threads and i know the guys with the U7131 were having problems and they let be know and it seems some of the problems have been fixed. Im just hoping i can get some of the small issues fixed with the U7130.

I did put mine back to stock to test some of this out. The throttle floats a little bit but acts pretty much like one would expect. it does not work like a gas truck but does not get a person concerned it won't idle back down. I am thinking it has something to do with the truck thinking it needs all this fuel and has to burn it off. Not like a gas when you take your foot off it closes the air so no more burn, the extra fuel just gets exhausted out. Still hope there is a cure though, and without loosing my wonderful power. This poor tool is taking some aweful abuse on the 2 diesel forums I am on.

Yeah unfortunatley it does get some heat from some people, especially smarty owners. Thats why i hope these small things can be worked out and i can say im 100% satisfied and let it be known on the forums, i mean i pretty happy with it now but i think some things could be helped out. I havnt tried the other two settings yet because my Commander is on its way so i do not have gauges yet. I did play around with the temp monitoring on the predator while going down the road, which was pretty cool, although my boost level was reading like 14psi at idle and would get over 40 when i got on it so i know that wasnt reading right. Something i've noticed is that alot of guys that do say they are happy with the predator also have the pucks running stacked. I'm wondering if the puck adding fuel instead of the predator is what makes the difference, just a thought.

I agree with diablo bashing on other websites. I have an 03 and had the diablo. With all of the hype of the smarty, I sold my predator on ebay and bought a smarty. What a waste. Took the smarty back and had to buy another diablo.
I know every truck is different, but mine responds to the diablo the best. The extreme tune is great, with rail pressure close to stock, smooth throttle response, and ok smoke control. The rkl tunes make the truck just flat move out.
I honestly felt the smarty did not make the power that they claimed. I sent "Bob Wagner" a email concerning this and he sent me a beta program. The truck ran horrible! The throttle was SO touchy and smoky that the truck was flat awful to drive. I had the worst drive to work in my life!
I don't understand why every programmer and chip out there, for the 555 engine, can not make the power. For example, no crazy larry on the bully dog, and the edge juice hot is only 150 horse instead of the 180 horse for the 600/625 motors.
I have to give diablo some credit for being able to make rkl and rkl puff tunes for the 03. They just flat work.
I won't be letting go of this programmer again!

I am back to running the extreme. Mostly because when I put the stock tune back on the truck it seemed to have deleted the extra tunes. So will have to reinstall them.
5point9 are able to rev your truck sitting in park? And not have the engine rpm just hang for a long time? It does not effect driving, just being able to show off the exhaust sound. lol

i also have a 7130 that i am happy with,i get the hanging throttle but only on the rkl tunes, the stock tunes dont do it,it must be somthing with the extra fueling like mike said,oh c7reed the boost on the pred reads in kpa or somthing silly so 14 at idle is zeropsi,if you went to40 it was 26psi,i dont know why they chose to use that format but they did,my truk runs great on any tune,no idle issues and no cruise control issues,i like the tuner for the money it was worth it,i would like to see a usb port that powers the unit for updates and maybe user defined parameters like the smarty has,{revo software}its pretty easy for everyone to compare thefeatures and updates for the smarty but we have to remember the smarty guy{marco}does all his work and only deals with the cummins engine, diablo techs are busy with many many products for diferent trucks and even cars too,if johan only worked on the cummins product all day im sure the pred would compare to the smarty.

Any work done on the 7130 for us yet...... I went on a long trip this weekend and the cruise was doing the stalling thing when going down a grade. Kinda seems like the torque converter locking and unlocking. I put it back on the stock tune about half way back home on monday and the truck idled perfect and cruise control worked perfect. What gives....I like the power but dang the stalling/bucking when in cruise control stinks.
