U7130 issues

Post by SpLaT »

S! Having rough idle issues with the U7130...
Cal ID #25325353AG
its running the 8r29, born 07/09/2007

when bought it had the 8r27 version which gave me the rough idle and sticky throttle, was updated with 8r29 and seemed to run ok, until winter weather and colder ambient temps. Truck ran rough and had a terible "lope" akin to a "gasser with a racing cam". I did go back to stock programming and kinda gave up on the DS, I recently installed new injectors, had a couple go bad on me. After installing new injectors, I tried again to programme, still experiencing rough idle. Question is, will the latest revision solve the rough idle problem?

As far as I know the new ver is to support a new cal id that dodge came up with for these year of trucks. I don't think they did anything for the idle issue yet. I have the same calid as you and only have a idle issue when it revs up to 1000 rpm when its cold outside. Really sounds bad, if i manually turn on the high idle, which goes to 1100 rpm its fine. Very annoying.

Glad its warm out now.

same here. got the 6 spd and no idle problems at all. just cruise surge and key counts. i've been running the tow tune mostly but ran the performance before that and all was good.

I have never tried the tow tune. I was running the perf. tune first then went totally to the extreme tune, and lately been doing the rikl tunes.
Do the trucks with standards go high idle 1000rpm when its cold. Just normal idling it does burb once in a while but nothing that would bother me. Just when it goes to auto high idle.
