CMR software question

Post by rainmaker »

Hello,

I have a question on the Mopar CMR software:

Does it allow for tuning at part throttle or WOT only?

Thanks

Sweet. I want to make changes from Mars... :)

Thanks Mike,

Follow-up question. What does it take to become an authorized dealer, and purchase the CMR Mopar Software?

Have to have a dyno? Hmmm...i thought I read of several shops doing email tunes. I know they don't have a dyno.

just off the top of my head...

I guess my point was, a wideband o2 and some data logging will get you there too Mike.

So is your sales team is firm on having a Dyno in order to become a dealer?

Well, B&G helped us out in the beginning, and he does have a Engine dyno to my understanding.

I believe Eddie is in the process of purchasing a dyno of his own, and has one very close by to tune on when needed.

I guess you dont really need a dyno, but you're only shorting yourself by not having one...who is going to bring their car to a shop to get tuned with no dyno??

Thanks

That's cool.

So what's the official formal way of requesting to become a dealer then Mike?

Thanks.

re the post on cmr tune.... http://www.bgperformancepcm.com/
does this infer that B&G tune is superior to diablo latest revison?

True, no one would bring their car to one that does not have a dyno. But for some the options are very limited on where to go to get a tune without having to make a day trip/vacation out of it so for now an email tune is the only option.

Out of the 5 that are listed on your map within a 400 mile radius of me, the closest has moved their shop to the Midwest quite a while ago and 2 are not getting very good reviews by those that used them before.

I hope you guys seriously consider releasing a personal edition soon..

Any CMR tune will be better then a canned release. They're done for your car, and not the masses. Since each car is different, tuning a particular car will always give bigger gains then a tune designed to accomodate all of them.

Not entirely true, the above statement is only true if the tuner knows what he is doing.
