U7131 - more bottom-end performance?

Post by rkelley »

Just purchased the U7131 stack (predator and puck) for my '06. I was hoping to get more bottom-end performance out of this stack. A competitor's product allows for disabling the low-end torque setting - netting a ton of bottom-end power (exactly what I want). Unfortunately, I get poorly a shifting tranny using the competitor's product (thus, my purchase of the U7131 stack).

On my '06, I have to push the pedal about 1/2 down before I get any real performance out of the predator and puck tunes. Is it possible to get anymore bottom-end performance? Do I need a custom tune for this?

We opted for the smoother power delivery as it makes for a much more driveable vehicle. The 7131 does not support custom tunes at the moment, but it could be addressed with one. We have no eta when custom tunes will be implemented on this part number at this point.

Thanks for the reply.

Will a small pressure box help get the low-end power back?

It should if it is designed to do so, i know pressure boxes are pretty linear in their power curve though.
