Just got it. What to expect?

Hello, I just installed the power puck on my 98.5 4x4 automatic long bed extracab dodge cummins pickup. Now, what to expect. It seems to smell more like diesel now a little. It started up promptly like it always does, ran normally except when accelerating where all I can say is WOW, response is much more linear and obvious more power. NO codes yet. I actually haven't tried WOT yet except for up to 50.
I am most concerned about mileage - I want it to be better. The power is nice (I do tow a 6K trailer) but not primary. I was SOLD this one after talking me out of the quadzilla mileage module for mileage stating this one got better mileage.
I am not a lead foot anyway. I have pyro, boost, fuel pressure, tranny temp gauges. So I can tell if the truck is being stressed. I worry most about the tranny overheating.

The power gains are exactly what you should expect.
The pucks are not really designed to improve mileage much.

Well, isn't that nice.
I was misled by the retailer then. Kind of makes you mad.
Well, If it doesn't improve my mileage which is says it does all over the web, I will be sending it bacik.
Bummer.
At $4.00 per gallon here, performance has to be secondary.

I have found that any of the performance modules and/or downloaders are only I part to the performance and mpg puzzle. You need to give a diesel engine a way to breathe better. Cold air intake and a 5 in turbo back exhaust will help.

keeping these engines BELOW 2,000 RPM'S IS THE KEY!! i drove my truck 650 miles had 8th of a tank left.Fill-up equals $110.00 divide by $4.03 a gallon=27.29529.now...650 miles divided by27.29529 gallons EQUALSSSSSS...23.81363 m.p.g.'s. driving 68 m.p.h. who would not want a CUMMINS!!
