Recently I hooked my Diablosport Intune 2 tuner up to my computer to check for any updates. I'm not sure what my previous revision was, but the current one is now: 1.65.41015.20.196. It's also the one that's been giving me horrible issues including locking/bricking my PCM.
Before this update, the car ran fine and the tuner would actually recognize my car and upload tunes. Now, it won't do either. After I updated the device, I hooked it up to my 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4 to modify a parameter within a custom tune. (I've done this before previously with no issues ever countless times.) After I installed it and done the key dance (on/off, etc) I let the device reboot after it applied the custom tune. Once it rebooted I unplugged it and disconnected my battery just to reset my PCM and fuel trims for the new tune. Once I got back into the car to start it, it won't do anything.
All my dash lights come on and my red security light is now fully illuminated and won't go off. The fuel pump won't prime. The starter won't run. It acts almost exactly as if I wasn't depressing the clutch all the way down.
I again hooked my Intune 2 up to my car and it usually gives me one of two errors. The first error message it gave me it basically told me (I'm paraphrasing here, I don't exactly recall what it said): "car is not supported by the device." I unhooked the device and tried again. This time it loaded up fine. Until I tried to upload a tune. Instead now, it freezes with a "please wait" pop-up and will not process beyond that.
I hooked the tuner up to my PC and the update agent is telling me I need to UPDATE it. Even though I literally just updated it. I decided maybe this time I should update it and maybe this time it'll take it? Nope. It went through the same process and told me the device updated successfully. This time, however, I noticed 2 of my tunes I had installed suddenly vanished... Yep, that's right. My Intune 2 deleted two of tunes.
I went to my tunes back-up folder on my desktop and reinstalled the deleted tunes back onto my tuner. All seemed well. I closed out my file explorer and reopened my tuner files... And it deleted ANOTHER tune. No rhyme or reason, it just randomly selects one of my custom tunes and deletes them.
So now I'm stuck without my car and a tuner that won't read my cars PCM and also deletes my tunes. When I hook the DSP up to my PC it still says it needs to be updated.
I have no clue what's going on. But I really wish it didn't prick my PCM. I'm going to call first thing tomorrow morning and hopefully get it straightened out. In the mean time, if you have an Intune 2 and an SRT4... DO NOT UPDATE It
