Lost stock tune?

Post by Mikepgp »

2019 ram, did the pcm swap. Did modify stock, disabled mds. That’s all I wanted. Process worked fine.
Then, I got curious to try throttle booster.
Also, the i3 said it had a calibration update.
So, I plugged in, did the update, then decided to turn on throttle booster. Completed.

Decided after driving I didn’t like it, was too jumpy in backing out of space on parking lot, etc.
I plugged in, went to modify to turn throttle booster back to 0%, but modified was grayed out.
I had to do select tune all over, and it prompted be to first make a backup of the stock pcm before naming changes.
Which I already did days ago.

Why was it asking my twice? Did it “forget” I was tuned already?
At this point I just want to put it back to stock.
Throttle booster is not for me.
I did the restore it I think it restored the “2nd” backup with the throttle boost enabled.

Anyone know how I can just start with a factor fresh tune again and start over?

it cant save a tune as a backup, if it restored, it put the stock file back 100%
Post the info.xml file from the device so I can confirm.

Thanks

its tuned to pcm and tcm, and should allow you to return to stock at any point if thats what you want to do.
It simply cant save a tune that was written by this device as a backup or 'stock tune'.
