P0601 appears even on stock tune

Post by socket462 »

Put an 87 tune on my 2017 Ram 1500- cel came on-- cleared it using the Trinity 2 EX- upon next start it appears again. Rolled back to stock tune- still appearing upon every restart of the truck.

Help?

Possible Causes
Error Code P0601 means the PCM has gone bad, which can be caused by a short circuit within the PCM itself, or if wires and connectors from the PCM is disconnected while the battery is still connected. The most common cause of this error code is a faulty or damaged PCM and low voltage to the PCM.

It runs and drives fine. This only occurred when I flashed my first tune on it. It's a Hemifever ECU.

It's a knew issue and DS is working on it.
If it's throwing a CEL your tuner can kill the light for now.

Thank you.. yes, I can clear it- it comes back on next start. Annoying but manageable.

My tunes folder was empty-- so I flashed the 91 octane canned tune. I opted for TC off and MDS off. It seemed to flash fine- but when I started it BOTH MDS and TC were not off-- they were working as normal. weird..

Attached is the tune file for this

the mds is off inthe file, what makes you believe it is not disabled?

Please load the attached custom tune to the root of the i3 drive then to the truck and it should be fine.

Thanks

I figured the MDS was still on because the ECO light still lit up and off.

I have a T2 EX- not an I3. Was that just a typing error?

Thank you for the quick responses.

eco is not MDS :)
eco just means you arent driving it hard enough!

My mistake, same process for i3 or t2.

Thanks
