I3 "read failed" trying to read pcm backup

Post by jd40 »

I have an i3 that I'm trying to load a tune into an 05 ram with but everytime I try to marry the VIN it says read failed. The tuner was in recovery mode from the last time I tried to use it and battery voltage was low so I had support delete the VIN over the phone so I could still use it on my other car. The truck had a custom tune in it when it went into recovery but it now seems like the custom tune is off it and the factory tune is back because it runs rich. I tried with a different truck and it married to it just fine so I know it's not a licensing issue.

does it fail after 100%?
Has the 05 ever been tuned by anything else in the past?

same question, ever been tuned before by something else?
13/14 are notorious for read issues when they were previously tuned by a different tuner.
