Question about data-viewer and new R96 version for LS2 GTOs

Hey guys. Followed the excellent (sticky) link on tuning, and ended up here .
Two questions: MonteSS mentioned he downloaded the datalog program for the U7191, which is the same for our LS2 GTOs, but it says on the download section that it's only good for U7190 and U7194; what gives?? Plus there're no instructions on that one. Could you please tell me if I should follow the same instructions as the DSDownloader or InterfaceInstaller? I already used both of those, by the way.

My 2nd question is regarding the new R96 revision for the LS2 that it's announced on 'Diablo News'. Why is not showing on the download section? When will it be?
And on 'new' features you guys mentioned almost all the current features (8r07); why? I only recognized as new the following: 'Updatable via internet', and 'Resettable with no VIN locking'. Could you please elaborate on that? And on all other improvements over the 8r07 version? Thanks guys.

Wow, I actually never saw that LS2 Predator press release.
That r96 revision would be the initial 7r96 release. We've obviously updated quite a few times now, as we are at 8r07. That 'news' is from 3.14.06...

Post a link to where it says the U7190 and U7194 are the only tools supported, as I don't see it, but it needs to be changed. The U7191 is supported.
There are instructions included in the DAT viewer software when you download it to your PC.

Man, missed the date on that 'new' version, but what the heck is it still doing in 'Diablo News'? It should be on 'Diablo History', no? Ha ha. Later man.

The comments about 7190 & 7194 appear to be enhancments to the Data Viewer not limitations.

Yeah, like Live2Ride said, it is just telling you that those DAT viewer revisions were done to support those particular tools.
