Video Input Options - Using T2 as a Monitor

Post by CDeLo17 »

Good afternoon all,

With my T2, I was hoping to be able to use it as a monitor if at all possible utilizing the EAS. I see that through other vendors, there is the option to install a backup camera via a license plate mount and have the visuals display through their tuner. This would be nice, but there are a few things I'm looking for.
  • •Multiple camera inputs using a universal input so I can install my own cameras purchased separately
•The backup camera EAS kit engages only when in reverse and automatically when reverse is engaged, I would like to view the cameras at my leisure, but also for it to engage when in reverse automatically
The reason I'm interested is so that I can replicate a kit like this where I can take my Jeep off-road and be able to see what's going on from inside the cabin without needing a spotter for some mild wheeling. I would install cameras that can view my tires for tire placement, in front of the Jeep so I can see how close I am to an obstacle, and also underneath to ensure ground clearance (this camera may need to be replaced now and then  ) It would be great if I could use the T2 as a monitor and not need another larger screen inside if I don't have to!

Anyhow, here's the Jeep if you're interested!

Don't see it happening, best is the lock pick, it supports 5 cameras, works with factory radio, all pug n play, Front/ Rear /left /right and baby, a lot of rock crawling people use it...We here would just be happy viewing every thing in our data logs not crawling over them lol
