2013 F150 87 tune check engine light?

Post by NiganDong »

I'm new to this so please be understanding.
First time tuning. Installed the 87 tune on my 2013 F150 with 3.5 twin turbo.

Speed limiter off,
Adjusted tire size to match tires.

Definitely noticed better acceleration, however, every time i punch it hard and accelerate at max acceleration, I get a check engine light that stays on for 5-10 seconds. Is this normal? Should I not turn off speed limiter? Is there something I need to check? If so, what steps do I need to take? Thanks in advance.

Update today....
Scanned for errors, P0000 only,
Ran the truck again this time CEL first flashing then solid. errors listed;
P0000 and P0300

Replaced plugs. No more errors. Factory plugs were gapped.040 to.045.

the added boost needs a lower gap as you have found.
.028-.030 is ideal, and will allow for proper performance.
Let me know if you still have any CEL after the fresh plugs.
