i3 has gone completely schizo

Post by killface »

when i plug the i3 into my laptop it starts and endless cycle of displaying which tunes have already been installed. Trying to interrupt it has no affect. when I run updater it says i have an update ready. i click on it and it gets almost to the end and then i get an error message saying to try again. it's been two weeks since i've been able to use my i3 in any capacity. before this happened it had stopped recording my analog input signal. anyone else have these issues and if so possible fixes? Thanks, K.B.

No, it acts semi-normal in the truck. it won't record anything from my analog signal.

I have tried a different, brand new, usb cable with the same results. I have uninstalled and then reinstalled all update agent software and drivers. I have erased my custom tunes and tried to update. Update agent says there is one ready. Probably the one I need to get the device to recognize the analog signal. If we've reached, "Really not sure here", am I on my own from here on out? Do I need to buy a new device?

My biggest problem right now is the weather. We've already got snow on the ground where I live and I need to install a custom "winter" tune that dials things back considerably and makes it so my trucks rear end stays in the rear and not the front when there's snow/ice on the roads. I don't trust the device right now. I'm not comfortable attempting to tune swap with it in it's current state.
