Tune forgotten?

Post by Kryptex90 »

Having a weird experience. Last night for shiggles I did some quick adjustments to change when the fans turn on, as well as turning off the traction control system. The car ran amazingly after the adjustments and I was a happy camper. When starting her up, of course I get a bunch of "service stability control" blah blah blah, (because I turned off traction control). I had a bunch of lights relating to it, which is totally fine. I'll take that for the increased low end I was experiencing.

This morning I go to start her up to drive to work, and no more lights or warnings. It also doesn't feel as peppy. It feels/drives like it did before my tune adjustments last night. Is it possible for the PCM to forget the tune overnight? I wonder if this is where some of my other drivability issues are stemming from.

Thanks

the TC disable is good for one start, then it resets.
Since it disables ABS we do not allow it to be a permanent change. You will have to disable it each time you drive if desired.
The tune is still there...

I know this an old post but thought this might be the place to bring this up. I have a 2014 SRT8 Core with 6 speed and this feature has never worked for me... it always errors out and says its of on the display but the PCM doesn't respond.

However i can use the traction control button anytime I need. Also note that if you hold the button down for 10 seconds (I think) you can effectively do the same thing... disables several features like ABS etc.
