I3 Platinum Chrysler

Post by xcr-700 »

Just upgraded to the I3 Platinum Chrysler, and I must say I am impressed, its much fasted than my I1000 DCX was.

So my question is, this come preloaded with more tunes than the I1000 did, is there anywhere that describes the tunes at a high level AND then also provides details of what the tune(s) change from stock.

That would be a huge help to me.

Thanks!

No detailed list of changes in the tunes...what exactly are you looking to determine?

Hi Mike thanks for the quick response.

Well at the moment I am struggling to pick the best tune for my use.

Is there even a high level description of the current tunes that my new I 3 came with?

The car in question is a 2011 Challanger RT 5.7 with 6 speed manual and with a Mopar Performance cold air kit and a Mopar Performance low restriction exhaust.

I live and drive only in sea level areas and usually just to take it for a blast. Otherwise its stock and I only every run good brand 93 octane gas and I am only interested in max performance out of this combination but with the least fuss/effort.

This is not a daily driver, its just a toy and still only has 25,000 miles on it, but it is not hidden away in a collection, its JUST a toy ;-)

Any suggestions you can offer are appreciated.

Thanks!

You want the Diablo tune, which is the 93 ctane tune.

The Jammer CAI tune is for use with our specific CAI, and the proven package tune is for use with the Holley kit that includes a CAI and catback.

LAST question (for the the moment,,,)

I am thinking it might be worth the time to have a custom tune for my car, but not knowing anywhere near me that does this for Mopars (01810 zip code), I will probably do it via email.

As such, I seemed to recall there was a sticky post about data logging somewhere in this site but I cant seem to find it.

Any chance you can point me to it.

Thanks!

The logging sticky was probably GM specific, but in most cases you can simply plug it in, and click record and let it do its thing unless your tuner requests that you add some specific data to the list.

I think what I was trying to remember was do you just drive normally and for how long, or do you need to make a few full throttle passes?

Basically what do I need to record?

Thanks

the tuner will usually ask for something specific, but normal driving with a couple WOT pulls is usually fine.
