Unlocked PCM

Post by doc440 »

Can an unlocked PCM for a 2018 6.4 6-speed be re-vinned to use in a 2021 6.4 6-speed?

Not sure, but at this time we dont yet offer support for the 2021 6.4 trucks.

Thanks. It’s for a 6.4 challenger.

No, not gonna make a challenger pcm work in a 2500 truck :)

I assumed you meant 18 6.4 Ram to 21 6.4 Ram.

Thanks

Additionally, will installing the original PCM in the 18 challenger set the P1400 code?

If the original pcm is not unlocked, there will not be any codes.

Unfortunately my notes show 18-19 5.7/6.4 cars share a pcm and 20-21 5.7/6.4 cars share a different pcm.

Thanks for the info. Nice to know it won’t set the code. Too bad it won’t work in a 2021 model.
