PLZ,HLP; 2nd Owner i2030, unit has 16 added folders

Post by LaughnJar »

Hello all,
I bought an i2030 from a fellow member on corvette forums.com. It came to me with just one license slot used (the licensing thing I was utterly ignorant too at time of purchase
Lol). Anyway prior to even trying to connect the unit to my laptop, partially a combination of curiosity and impatience prompted me to Simply connect the unit to the ODB port and follow the quick setup manual to connect to the ECU and register the car on the unit I guess you would say. As well as register it with Diablo sport. And luckily I was able to I believe also had the 91 octane can tune because it seemed like after doing so my c6 Z06 ran more lean which is a good thing as it had been running rich I could tell by the smell.

But I perhaps escaped fatal issues occurring because I soon discovered that when I tried to connect my laptop to the unit in order to read some logging that I tried to do, that they would never sync together or stay synced. The unit connects perfectly to the car and sinks everything it seems like because I've run a live data stream and everything looks to be consistent with other data logging I've done with other sports cars.

So the connection or Lack of connecting to get gauges and live stream on my computer was bugging the hell out of me. And so I connected it via the USB opened it up under the drive and discovered 16 additional files apparently on the unit itself. At least based on what the images in the full size manual for the iTunes shows which is just four. Those would be a runtime logs tunes and updater.

In addition to those four folders I have 16 more that apparently came from an Android phone and I have no idea how they got on to the unit. If I can Ill upload a photograph of the I2 opened side by side with a thumb drive download Backup that I placed on the laptop earlier in the summer.

I've already eliminated a couple of the folders but I'm waiting to be certain that I'm taking the correct approach on this by killing off the 16 added files. And wanting someone to verify that there's only supposed to be four on here.
I
n addition to that when I open the updater file and click on Windows the only update I get is ignitioninstaller.cmd,

Any observation suggestions or other wisdom would be greatly appreciated so that I can at least be able to have a larger screen view of the data as it's streaming live from the Diablo to laptop I would like to be able to use the gauges that the dashboard of words if that is possible with the i2030 as well.

Thanks in advance to anyone who in lending me a hand! I still love the unit it's just frustrating to not be able to see a larger more graphic display when I know or it seems to have the capability to do so with the software on a laptop! Peace.
