Greetings and a couple questions

Post by noetic_11 »

Hi. New guy here. Just picked up an 8345 for a new to me 2011 Challenger RT. This will be my first foray into tuning - looking forward to those newbie gains...and making some mistakes along the way.

Updating the i3 went pretty smooth and I was able to successfully connect to my vehicle and view the available standard tunes. I found the options to be a bit more limited than I was expecting. Several of the options were greyed out for me.

I'm in GA and currently have 89 in the tank. I was expecting to have access to an 89 + CAI tune out of the box. Even the 87 octane easy tune was greyed out. I believe there were around 5 standard tunes available. So, I ended up not applying anything today. Perhaps I misinterpreted some of the content I saw prior to purchase, but does that sound about right for out of the box functionality?

How do I go about adding some more tunes on there? How does the custom tunes section work (also greyed out)?

If you have any handy links to help a brother get going please share. Thanks!

we dont offer tunes for anything lower than 91 on performance applications like this. You'll want to run 91 or better for any performance gains.

Custom tunes are something you purchase through 3rd party tuners for additional mods, etc.
