I noticed in my Predator last night, that the newest version seems to support different rear differential ratios than the stock 2.82:1. Is this correct? Anyone know who is selling ring and pinions? Looking for about a 3.43:1. I remember seeing 3.07 as a option in Predator. I belive this is the same as the AWD. Can the AWD ring and pinion be used in a RWD?
Thanks

CMJ on chargerforums.com or lxforums.com is putting together a group buy on 3.23 gears if they can get enough interest to sway the good folks that can make them.

Re: REAR DIFFERENTIAL OPTIONS?
To answer your question - The AWD rear gears are smaller (198mm) than the RWD V8 gears (210mm and 215mm). The AWD housings are smaller since they are only designed to handle V6 power or half of the V8 power when split front and rear. Hope this helps.T91WHEELER wrote:I remember seeing 3.07 as a option in Predator. I belive this is the same as the AWD. Can the AWD ring and pinion be used in a RWD?

I searched for this info and could not find it.rodneyiii wrote:To answer your question - The AWD rear gears are smaller (198mm) than the RWD V8 gears (210mm and 215mm). RE: Re: REAR DIFFERENTIAL OPTIONS?
He's right. Its like that on the 4Matic Mercedes E-class too. The rear on the awd is 198mm ring gear, the rwd has a 215mm.
