New U7194

Just purchased a U7194 and now im wondering what I got myself into. Do the programmers come with the serial cable and dc power cord or do I have to buy that seperate? Where? Also will I need to download the current updates before installing the unit? I have read about the Torque Management and also the V4 an V8 modes being an issue so im wondering if I will have the latest and greatest version. I would be willing to have a custom tune performed if it will help eliminate some issues. Thanks in advance.

The programmer does not come with the cords or power supply, the downloads page shows what you need with radio shack part numbers included.

I went to the downloads page but cant findanything that tells me what cords. Excuse my ignorance but I need a little more guidance. Also how do you save the program so you can read it and also send it? Please be patient with me as I want to get this done right. Thanks, Brian

1: Serial Cable:
Standard straight-through DB9 (9-pin to 9-pin) RS232C serial cable (6 foot cable is more than enough). Check your computer to see if you have a male or a female port on the back, as some are different. You will need a male end to go into your Predator.
(Radio Shack Part # 26-117, 6-ft DB9 male to DB9 female shielded cable.)

2: Power Adapter:
CLASS 2 TRANSFORMER
OUTPUT : 12VDC 1000mA (1 Amp)(Radio Shack Part # 273-1776)
Note: Plug Tip is 2.5mm x 5.5mm, female, and center is positive.(Radio Shack Part # 273-1717)
