2002/2006 f250

Bough the predator for a 2002 F250. It worked great. It was like having an instant "hot rod" truck. I traded it for a 2006 F250 and had to down load the updates for it to work. It just isn't the same. It doesn't have near the power and shifting seems slugish. Gas mileage on the 2002 was around 18 miles per gallon. The 2006 only gets 13-15 miles per gallon. With deisle fuel up to $4.28 a gallon, this is just not acceptable and put the tune back to stock. I at least get 15 miles to the gallon on the factory tune. What can I do?

Confused here....
The 02 trucks were 7.3 Liters, the 06 is a 6.0, and they use different Predators....are you sure the first truck was not an 03 model?

As for the poor mileage...try cleaning the fuel filter.

Sorry for the typo error. Yes it was a 2003. I powered up the predator and the serial # is u7165 using the v.8r13. As far as the fuel filter, this was a brand new 2006 truck with less than 2000 miles on it when I tuned it with the predator.

Wow, 8r13 is old.
I would restore the backup and update to the 9r03 crom and give that a shot.

I keep reading your forums and find you recomend downloading the r20 to some for a 2006 F250, yet recomended the 9r03 for mine. Whats the difference and how many different downloads for a 2006 F250 is there. Where are they & the custom tunes accessable?
