Shift kit

O.K. I am going to get a shift kit put in my 06 Vortex Max Silverado I have a predator tuner is there anything special I need to do to my trans settings?

nope, since you can't adjust any tranny settings with the predator anyway...

O.K. I thought when I can change my T.M. settings, change how fast my shifts are, what RPM's my shifts are. how firm my shifts are I am not actually adjusting my trans settings? I have the U7192

Yeah, you can do all of that with your Predator if you like...

Yea I have done it all but do I need to change anything that the came standard with my programer. Basically I have adjusted what the programer has changed so do I need to change anything the programer or any thing I have changed to keep anything from screwing up my trans.

Lol, classic trucks still use class II PCMs, no CAN till NBS 07....haha

Tranny settings are up to the individual user, feel free to experiment a bit with shift pressures, likely no gain by raising shift points on a stock truck.

So when I have the shift kit installed everyrhing will be O.K. ? I will still get the classic shift kit performance and the truck computer will not affect the shift kit.

We do make a slight shift firmness change in the tune, so if it is too hard with the tune, try backing down the firmness a bit...

Sounds good. I did adjust the pressure was closer to what I wanted but still want that good old fashion 2nd gear chirp you get from a shift kit.

While I have your attention Mikel if I change the cam in my truck is my preditor able to handle my cam change or do I need a custom tune.
