Hey Guys, I've heard of folks using the predator to turn off torque management in the GTO's...but I have the SLP7190 predator with the 421/455 Bobcat tunes preloaded. Do either of these accomplish the same thing (re: disabling TM)? I just got the tuner so I have no previous experience with this (other than loading the 421 tune pending header/cam install). What else do I need to do?
Also, after loading a tune what is the "adjustment" period if any that I should go through prior to dropping the hammer? After loading the 421 I heard pinging at WOT so I backed off immediately and am just being gentle till I figure this all out.
Thanks!!
06 A4 GTO torque management?
RE: 06 A4 GTO torque management?
The SLP tunes disable TM by default in the tune, no adjustment is necessary.
There is really no adjustment period for WOT settings after install. You might want to change the brand fuel used or reduce timing a little bit in the high rpm's to eliminate the knock.
