need speedometer recalabrated 06 GTO

i just bought some new wheels for my 06 GTO i got 18 in the front and 19 in the back i think the diff sized wheels threw somthing off cuz my traction control stopped working. is there somthing i could down load in to my new predator( which should be here tomorrow U7191) to make some kind of adjustment to get traction control back?GTO no good in the rain with no traction control

Email me a copy of the original backup file and we'll set you up for the new tires.
Be sure to let meknow what the factory sizes were, and what the new size is.

im gonna have to figure out how to do that my predator will be here wed or thursday. ive never used one before. pretty much a newbee here. the original back up file is the tune the predator will loading in? or my factory tune?

So, am I understanding from this that we can't adjust the speedometer on the GTO's? I just got my predator U7191 v.9r01, yesterday for my 05 GTO. I've looked all over the place for this setting. Mine goat is on the summer tire setup. One of the main reasons I picked up the predator is to be able to adjust the speedo settings, and kill CAGS. CAGS I found.

nope, can't adjust any tranny settings at all with the 7191... so no speedo fix... you'll need to get a custom tune...

Does custom tune, mean somthing besides the predator? Or since I think you mean dyno shop. How do they change it? I'm new to all this, and thought it was all in the predator.

if all you need done is the speedo fix, then email MikeL about getting a custom tune done for that.

they (Diablosport) will create the custom tune for ya for free for that different tire size fix.

you will need to send him a copy of your current tune that is in your car now... you will need the power adapter and serial (or usb) cable in order to connect the predator up to your PC. You will also need to download and install specific software from the site.

once they email you the new custom tune with the fix in it, you will have to import it into your predator in order to install it into your car... instructions on how to do that are included in that other link...

ok, that makes more sense. I read all of that last night. My cable/connection is up and running. I was just not understanding why it's not selectable in the predator. So I'm assuming that there is another editor, that diablsport is using on these files. One we can't get our hands on.

I'll get a email together for Mike. I also want to include the bolt on stuff thats on it, and get him a log as well.

I'm still a little confused as to why that particular setting is not there. Once I get the extra rims with the Drag Radials, it would be nice to carry the different tunes/sizes, and switch between. That's not a big deal for drag day.

Where is the best place to learn about low octane settings? I want to be able to cut it back in the winter time.

I assumed that since this device has a pc interface all of that kind of stuff would be fully editable.

And, thanks for the responses, I'm starting to feel better about this thing, particularly if "they (Diablosport) will create the custom tune for ya for free" turns out decent.

no - as I mentioned in my first post, we can't adjust any tranny settings at all with the 7191. There is no tranny support for our cars/7191 at this point - doesn't matter what revision. It can't communicate with the TCM.

yes, they have their own commercial CMR software suite for creating/editing tunes (it's like hp tuners software) - and no, it's nothing you can get your hands on.

They only sell it to their dealers/dyno tuners.


As far as carrying the different tunes - you'd only be able to have 1 custom tune in the predator at a time - that's all it holds... so each time you wanted to change to another custom tune, you've gotta hook up to your pc and import the new tune into the predator anyway...

Ah well, so it goes. At least CAGS is gone. As for the Diablo tune, we shall see, so far it seems better. I've got 60 miles of logs to work on. So far DSLogReduz is telling me to move it to -1%. Thanks for the answers.....

i just got back from the dealership it turns out theres a short in my brake switch. go figure
