Bought locked U7193

Just wanted to know if anyone has had DiabloSport unlock a unit for them and how much the fee was. I actually live not far from them (about an hour) so I'm not sure if I'll need to ship it of just bring it by.

I bought it under the assumption it was unlocked BTW. I didn't want anyone thinking I actually bought one that was locked. Well, if they don't, I think the guy will take it back.

I think they will unlock, not sure on price though and yes they would have to have it in their hands to do it. Wait until Tuesday for the Diablo boys to get back on here to answer that question.

Thanks...I figured I probably would unfortunately. The guy wants to keep his tune in his car but didn't know it couldn't be used unless his original stock tune was dumped from the unit. I had the SCT with my F250 so I figured that's what he did after I received it in the mail and tried to tune it and got the "This unit is locked to a different vehicle" message.

Id be pissed!!! He wanted to sell his Pred, but keep his tune? To me that tell me he knew that the tool was locked to his car/truck and that it wouldnt work on another car/truck. Sorry if Im stirring the pot here, but that is just wrong.

yeah, and they won't unlock it either...

so either he has to restore his original backup to unlock the predator, or you just bought yourself an expensive code reader...

I finally talked to the guy and he said he'd refund the money or pay to ship it back, load his factory tune back in and send it back or just keep it. Either way, I'll call tomrrow and verify the unlocking issue. I feel somewhat better knowing I've at least talked to the guy and he seemed to really not realize that if he didn't load back in his factory tune then the unit would be locked.
