Hello All -
Quick note before getting started, I did send a message to the rep at DiabloSport who I purchased my i3 programmer from, recognizing that technical support is closed over the weekend.
I have a 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with the 6.6L Gas (L8T) and 6 speed transmission. My INTUNE 3 programmer and unlock kit (Part #8266-R) arrived on Friday, March 16, 2024 and I fully updated it using the Update Agent. As a point of reference, the packaging of the i3 programmer mentions "8225-DS" and "2019-2022 GM Gas inTune 3 in-field 6624" which I'm unsure if it is the correct model considering the L8T started in 2020 model year. Furthermore, the unlock tool (Locksmith) includes instructions for the 2019-current half-ton trucks and although it is relatively the same process, the placement of the ECM is different on the 2500HD than it is on the 1500 trucks. I also own a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 6.2 that I purchased the Trinity 2 programmer and unlock kit for and successfully tuned the truck.
Before attempting to program the truck today, I hooked up the i3 to my computer to ensure it was fully updated. Upon connecting it to the ODB port on the truck, everything went as expected with the tool prompting me to connect the locksmith. I then proceeded to perform the steps for the unlock and everything was smooth until it reached 100% and indicated there was an error that it failed to unlock; I unfortunately did not capture a picture soon enough to know exactly what it said. The i3 then restarted and began cycling a message "Please attach the ECM Locksmith to the vehicle to proceed with recovery" and once tapping continue, the i3 displays another message "This tool is in Recovery Mode. Tap "YES" to Restore the Original Backup Recommended. Tap "NO" to enter the support menu." Upon tapping "YES" the i3 then cycles back to the "Please attach the ECM Locksmith..." message. This occurs when the i3 is connected to the ODB port or the unlock tool; neither option seems to resolve a backup.
When I installed my Trinity 2 / Unlock tool on my 6.2, I experienced something similar with the tool where it failed and my truck would not stop. I ended up disconnecting the battery a few times and was able to successfully unlock it and everything went perfect after. I am unfortunately not having the same luck with my L8T and it is not inoperable on the driveway with no start. The i3 prompts about 17 codes when using the diag tool but I suspect that is just because the ECM is erroring.
Thanks in advance for any support. I will try calling first thing when DiabloSport opens on Monday unless they reach out to me first.
Best,
Nikko

No worries on the device, you got the correct kit.
As for the current situation, we’ll likely need to wait until Monday morning to have the engineers look at it. In the meantime, please update the unit so we can get all the runtime data and attach the info.xml from the i3 drive here so we can dig it first thing Monday.
Thanks

I have quite a few runtime files (.dbg) but I don't see any info.xml file.

The info.xml file would be in the main/root i3 drive... not in any sub-folder...

Thanks for the clarity! Missed it as my computer changed the file extension on it.
