Ok so i ordered the predator from a dealer near by for my 05 Mustang GT. Just a couple questions. I also have the K&N intake FIPK cold air intake on order. The K&N intake is one of the canned intakes from what i have read. So when i go to tune my car, i'm going to use 87 octane fuel tune. I select 87 and then select K&N as the "canned" intake selections. Is there anything else i should do since i have the K&N intake on it? Or does the predator take care of that itself? K&N says that you do not need a tune with this intake, but i have read that it can make the car run lean on some occasions, so when i select the K&N as the canned program, the diablosport tuner will prevent it fron running lean with the tune it uploads for it?
Also, when i select 87 octane tune, what does the tune actually do? Does it make my car run lean in anyway? Because if the tuner makes the car lean, and the intake makes the car run lean on top of that, i don't think that would be too good.
Thanks, Jordan

RE: Getting the Predator...questions about use with K&N
You'll select the 91 octane K&N tune, then to use it with 87 go -5* on the global spark parameter then install the tune.
You will not be too lean, we base these tunes on proprietary MAF curves that we create here on our in house flow bench.
Thanks
