U7194 Not Working

Post by rjaro7 »

2007 2500hd nbs. when i plug the tool into vehicle, the tool tells me update required. i installed the 9ro3 and it still says the same thing. the tool worked fine with 8r10 until i took the truck into the dealer with a complaint of a rough idol and they did a software update. before i took it in i reinstalled the stock tune. Cal id for the new GM update OS is 12622161. Any ideas?

yeah, with the tool telling you an update is required, it's talking about an update for your truck, not the predator...

sounds like your truck was flashed with an unsupported Calibration ID...

Have you plugged back into your vehicle after you updates the Predator CROM? That is a necessary final step. After that connect to DS Downloader, click on the Calibration Update button, and see what you get.

Take a look at these instructions and look for any step that you might have missed.

Looks like this is a new cal from GM, we'll have to add support for it in the next revision.

Thanks

I would love to hear an up front and honest answer to your question and not an ambiguous reply.

I do not have an ETA for this update at the moment, but it will get done as soon as possible, maybe 2-3 weeks out...

That is good to hear. Thanks for the information and a tenative time period for the release. Will this release take care of the issues that a few are experiencing?

Comments deleted by poster......they were out of line. Had a very bad day and I'm still smarting from my negative association with this particular model tuner.
