Predator slp 7190

Hi I recently purchased a predator slp7190 to use on my 2005 corvette. When hooking it up and trying to load the performance tune I'm receiving the message "unable to read p/n of first calibration file" any help with this will be appreciated.

that predator is decades old man... and hasn't been supported for at least 15 years now... there are no fixes/updates for it...

this is an old issue with a preproduction cal on the 05 vette that made it into the wild, off the top of my head i know its 12596660
Get the car updated by a GM dealer and it may work, but you should consider a current tuner that we can offer support for.

I mean people still own cars and use these tuners.. old or not, so is the car. If it was supposed to work when they were sold it should also work now that's why I was asking.

If I spend 400$ and change on a new tuner, then it still may not work from what you're saying so that's a big gamble to take.

any tuner you plug into this specific 05 Vette, with the 12596660 cal, is likely to not work. Once the PCM is updated by a dealer to a proper production cal, anything, including that 20 year old Predator 7190, should work

The advantage of the new device is that we're here to help. No updates for that older device have been released in 15+ years, so support is very limited.
