Ignition Updater Connection to SQL Server Error (Can’t Update or Purchase New License)

Post by Timm10221 »

Device: i3 8320-R Platinum SN-202357144 or X00011310 (Don't know which one on the back of the device is the SN)

Updater in (Application Information on i3) 2r01x

Issue: Cannot launch Ignition Application, Cannot purchase new licenses and install on handheld etc. (Currently have a Charger Scat license and want a Jeep Wrangler one)

Tried: Uninstalling the application, deleting runtime updater files on i3, windows and MAC computers, Changed USB cables, ensured WiFi / home network connectivity, multiple restarts.

Today I have had no luck with launching the updater application. Tried both MAC, Windows and from my vehicle via WiFi with same results.

When updating from the i3 it fails out and below is what I get when trying to update via the computer.

Is there an ASI / Maintenance scheduled on the server resulting in it being down? Is it down for anyone else? What steps should I action to resolve this if it’s on my end?

Thanks!

Tim

Quick update for future searchers. There was an outage with the server that hosts update files. Was promptly fixed the following morning and all should be good to go.
