is there nay way to install my original backup from the prdator. i think found one way in the predator but it says for dealers only and asks for a password
it tells me this is for dealer use only and asks for a code. does the predator have a stored copy of thie original tune or is it gone because i set the truck back to stock before i took it to the dealer
so, have you reinstalled a tune since you got it back from the dealer so it could re-save the original backup??
if not, then no - it does not have a copy of the original backup in it at this point. You need to install a tune so that it creates the backup of the original tune and saves it in the predator.
no the latest is i made an appt to have the dealer install the old software. on my way ther i had the pred hooked up and decided i was gonna do a log for the heck of it and when i was selecting parameters, my truck went into some mode where thats all it would do is idle even with the pedal to the floor, the DIC said reduced engine power. i let it sit and started it back up and it was fine but the enginw light was on. when i got to the dealer they cleared the TPS code and installed the old software but the predator still tells me updater required. the tech is totally cool with the tuning thing and he said there no way to ge tthe pcm back to the way it was 2 weeks ago (factory). he basically said i have to wait for a update for the predator to support the new cal id. however he did install a previous software in the truck because he said this newest version that is a few days old is known to kill gas mileage and it did.. 12mpg to 9mpg. so now im at least back to 12mpg but this is still not the original softwre that was in the truck from factory. DO NOT LET GM DO THE LATEST SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR 6.0L KILLS GAS MILEAGE
I have no idea at this point man... will have to wait for Mike or one of the other support guys to chime in... but I know Mike is gone on vacation til Monday...
does anyone elses truck have cal id 12622161 and the predator workin so i can determine if its the predator or the cal id causing me these problems. The people at diablosports are no help.. i been playing this game with them for 3 months now
