Read failed, ECU rejected seed request

Post by woytow »

Hi all, I have an intune i3 that I previously used successfully with my 2014 RAM 1500.

Recently got a 2020 Ram 1500, got the ECU unlocked locally. I’m trying to load the canned 91 octane tune, using a bypass cable, and part way through it says “ Read failed, ECU rejected seed request (locked?)”

It looks like the trans tune is able to be loaded to the TCM (there is a TCM file in the drive when I hook it up to my computer), but the PCM is the issue.

I’ve updated my i3 already, tried several more times after key cycles, tried to update again, and no luck.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

the unlock you got is apparently not compatible with our products. All unlocks are not the same unfortunately.
