i2 problem

Post by RedBee »

Hi, just purchase my 2010 Camaro l99 came with i2 diablosport from previous owner, when i connect to car the menu is disabled scan and tune section. Also run up update agent via pc and still cant do nothing when connecting to car.

Now i dont know if car has custom tune or stock in it. Or how can i restore back to stock?

its only married to the tcm, no pcm tune.

does the menu light up if connected to another vehicle?
that would help determine if its a cable/connector issue or possible vehicle related.

Yes, it is, is there anything we can try or do?

All pins in obd side seems to be normal, no bends etc...

And if connected to update agent there is also endless update cycle. And after update when reconnect i2 updater open web page to buy licence page.

Can i copy tunes folder where i have vehicle backups from my old i2 to new i3 device? Do they work in i3?

Or can i just plug new i3 to car and start tune.?

My old i2 is toasted.

Update:

Tried working i3 to install tune, but it says " One of the Ecus in this vehicle has been previously tuned with a diablo product. Please restore it to stock condition and then begin a new."

How to i do that, go back to stock with new i3?

copy these to the root of the i2 drive (not in a folder), then go to the car and it will prompt you to load one to the ecm then one to the tcm which will set everything back to stock, then you can retune from scratch.
