Modify Performance Tune

Post by JTapsay »

I cannot modify the performance tune on my 2003 Silverado. After making changes, I get a message saying - Please Wait...communicating. The text then changes from "communicating" to "writing", then abruptly fails, with the message: Data Uploading - UNKNOWN ERROR. When I press any key, I get another message: #Script Error# - Interpreter Stopped. I press any key again and get the message: ###ERROR### - Tune Install Failed. I get the same error messages when I try to re-install the factory tune. I've taken the problem to my dealer, Davenport MotorSports in Calgary, but he has not been much help. What am I doing wrong?

I am using the Predator with GM03 version 2.04 tune

Script Errors are usually caused by voltage drops, be sure you have removed all the fuses for the On Star, Stereo etc... that the manual says to remove, and that you do not have any accessories running while you are programming the truck. If you still get a Script Error your battery might need to be charged up or possibly replaced.

Ahhhh...that might make sense. I know for sure my battery is weak. LEt me try this again with a new battery. I'll let you know what results. Thanks for the speedy reply.
