Stuck in Recovery mode
Just bought a new unlocker kit and I3 for my 2021 Silverado. It unlocked the ECM after about an hour then showed in recovery mode. Came up saying it could not find the backup for a restore. I hooked up the Tranny for its unlock and it started again in recovery and would not allow it to unlock the Transmission. I figured I would unplug and restart from inside the truck again but It shows in recovery mode and says no backup found. I see several options under support but was afraid to try one without talking to support. Anyone ever run into this?

Hey man, yeah I ran into something kinda similar with my 2020 Sierra. After unlocking the ECM, mine also went into recovery mode and couldn’t find the backup either. Super frustrating.
What worked for me was plugging the I3 into my PC and running the Update Agent software. It actually found the missing backup file and pushed a firmware update that cleared the recovery loop. I didn’t mess with any of the support options on the device itself—wasn’t sure what they’d do either.
