Previously Diablo Tuned, New Tuner…

Post by slow_rt »

I purchased an 08 Charger that was previously tuned via Diablosport. The car did not come with a handheld so I want to get an i3 to use BUT I do not want to lose the tune the car currently has.

Is that possible? Is the new i3 gonna force me to put a stock tune back on the car??

very tricky spot. i3 will not save the backup if it sees it was previously loaded with one of our devices.
No clue who tuned it or if there is a copy of that tune somewhere?

If not…nothing I can do?

Original tuner doesn’t have the file and neither does the previous owner…

I'll never understand how thats possible :)

Someone created it, and then saved it to a PC, then either emailed it to the customer or loaded it right to their device, but someone should have it...

Not much I can offer to get around this at the moment. Whats done to the car that you want to keep the tune?

I can only assume it was tuned so long ago that the tuner no longer has the file. And previous owner never owned a handheld.

Nothing major done to the car, it just runs very well and all I want to add is disabling MDS and adjust the fan settings.

if its not cammed, etc, its likely just the same canned tune we offer, Id move forward and reload it with the MDS off.
