Gear ratio setting? 2011 Ram 1500

Post by JasonK94Z »

Just got my pcm back from being fixed after it bricked. Thanks guys for fixing it. Old i2 is going to the trash.

My concern is the speedometer. My new i3 comes in tomorrow. The gear ratio that got flashed must be wrong because the speedometer reads about 5-6 mph faster than gps speed. I also have tires that are almost 2” taller. I have 3.92 gears and it must have been flashed with a different ratio.

So I’m just wanting to know if gear ratio is an option in the tuner before I try loading a program tomorrow.
Also, do I need to update the tuner as soon as I receive it before hooking it to the truck? I have the updater loaded to my laptop.

Thanks!

We would have flashed it to the same cal it had before, additionally, the gear ratio programming is not in the pcm itself, but other modules.
Id dial in tire size with the new device and go from there.

Mike, I just wanted to say thank you to you and the crew at Diablosport for all your help and support. The new tuner works great! I was able to get the speedometer fished in perfectly after a few adjustments too. Everything is back to working normally now.

The customer service you guys provide is amazing. Keep doing what you’re doing!!
