Need help!, tuner says different things then instructions...

I bought a diablosport tuner off mustangforums used. I just got it in the mail today. I go to load the 87 octane performance tune, and I plug it in, and it turns on...and it says "JLT" right before it says Predator as it boots up. I follow all the instructions off this site and i click on "performance tune", the next screen that comes up it says "JLT performance tune", and "original backup". I'm not sure what that means, do i install the original backup? This diablosport came from a fellow mustangforum user, and was "unlocked" when he sold it to me. Any ideas? Jord


And it also says in the "disclaimer", that all diablosport tuned engines should run premium unleaded fuel, meanwhile they make a 87 octane tune??

You want to install performance tune. It will save your original backup tune from your car, after that your car is MARRIED to Predator. Does your car have any mods? Did sellers car have any mods? Tunes are custom made for the buyers setup, if you don't have that setup you can run into problems. EXAMPLE...if you have custom exhaust, auto trans, CAI, the tune supplied will be set up for those mods. If this is the case you will need to re-install the tune version your Pred came with or update to the latest version which is 9ro3. Check out the Pred and see what's what. Hope this helps.

My car had no mods, seller had a JLT intake. IT was unlocked when he sold it, so not sure whats going on. I plan on running JUST the 87 octane performance tune.

The sellers JLT intake is what that tuner was specifically programmed for. Either he would have to sell you his intake along with the predator or you would have to aquire one of the exact same intakes on your own and install it.

There should be an option in the options menu called OEM select.
You can go in there and select either the diablo tunes or several different CAI tunes.
