I can still record logs in the car, or so I think, as I can now no longer view or delete them. I'm thinking I might have accidentally not cleaned up the logs on the tool, and now there's too many? Is there any way to tell the tool to just "flush" all the logs?An error occurred contacting www.diablosport.com (Connect Error: Invalid address passed). Are you connected to the internet? T1000 cannot open or delete logs
Like the title implies, my T1000 won't allow me to open a saved log, or delete a saved log. any attempt results in the unit hanging for over 10 minutes. DataViewer 3.4.4.28 won't download logs either; application just hangs with tool under remote control. Downloader 2.5.0.14 seems like it'll work, but when I ask it to "get tune from tool" after about a minute it gives me an error...

Re: T1000 cannot open or delete logs
it does sound like you have the device full of logs, and it can be tricky to fix.
its probably been 10 years since I dealt with this, so bear with me
You'll need to go to the delete log menu and try deleting one at a time. Big logs will be a problem, but deleting some smaller logs should work. as you free up some space, it should make it easier to work through.

Re: T1000 cannot open or delete logs
Thanks for replying.
I'm assuming you mean the 'Logging' -> 'Delete A Saved Log' button on the tool itself?
If so, I've tried that and the tool just sits, literally for hours, stuck.
Is there any way to get the tool to act like an ordinary USB storage device in some capacity, where I can go in and just delete the files directly?

Re: T1000 cannot open or delete logs
posting to document my findings as I go along.
tried deleted an extra layout (have them backed up elsewhere).
that apparently allowed the delete menu to sort of work, and I got 1 log file to go away.
tool locked up after that.
reboot, delete, locks up.
reboot, rename log, locks up.
reboot, renamed a layout, rename log shows a list of logs, several crazy corrupt names. tried to rename, not sure if it's working, hit cancel, tool locked up.
reboot, renamed a layout, rename log, tried to rename one of the corrupt ones, doesn't seem to want to let me edit the name, and the tool locks up when I click 'OK' or 'CANCEL'
reboot, renamed a layout, rename log, successfully renamed a non corrupted log, tool locks up.
reboot, renamed a layout, went in to rename log, but backed out to see what would happen, tool locks up.
reboot, renamed a layout, delete non corrupted log successful, tool locked up (7)
going to repeat the last several more times.

Re: T1000 cannot open or delete logs
yeah i recall having to reboot anytime it managed to delete anything.
not sure i follow why you are renaming?
Thats just gonna add to the file processing and cause problems.
if you have more layouts you can try to delete, that would help as well.

Re: T1000 cannot open or delete logs
something about successfully doing something with the layouts, allows the tool to at least perform 1 file operation.
if I attempt to delete a log from the tool right after reboot, it locks up.
if I attempt to 'Open a Saved Log' right after reboot, it locks up.
if I rename one of the layouts (literally just incrementing a number), it'll let me delete or open a log, before locking up and needing a reboot upon attempting to exit.
I have 2 layouts on the tool still, and discovered this process after deleting one of them. My thought process was:
well, deleting the layout allowed the file system to work somewhat, but I only have 2 more logs left. let's try a rename instead.
I have screen shots I took of the tool reporting some of the logs I tried to open as being corrupt.
Also, I *just* now tried to delete again after going through the process 107 times, and now it's letting me delete logs without the tool crashing. I'll report back in a bit.

Re: T1000 cannot open or delete logs
so, progress, then another roadblock?
kinda looks like this device might be on its last leg.
Lets get it traded in for a 25% discount on something current
