Trinity T2 MX Upgrade?

Trinity T2 MX Upgrade?
I've got a Ds T2 MX and I've seen the whole upgrade to a full tuner, is it real or fake? I havent seen a clear answer and I'm afraid I wasted money because of it

Very old post, I know sorry. Mike what is involved with upgrading an mx to a full tuner. I bought one thinking I could replace my I3 with it but I get the "wrong sku type for this vehicle." error for it. I don't mind carrying both devices in my truck but I'd like to simplify it if possible.
I was unaware of the two different versions of this too. Monitor and the one with tuning capabilities on it already.
