Intune i3 update to Platinum

Post by jnmarshall »

I picked up an i3 part no. 8300 with a dcx license. I saw prior posts on updating 2 times to update a tuner to Platinum. I could only get it to update once. Afterwards, all it does is read runtime.zip and reports no updates found. How do you get it to update twice? And how do you confirm it’s updated to a Platinum?
Tuner serial no. X00011310/202311342.

Looks like it’s actually a 3 step process…
First two updates ran. First one was a single file. The second was 6 or 7 files. At the end of the second update after the device reboot it connected and said it was up to date.
The SKU changed from i3_DIABLOEO to i3_DIABLO. Then panic mode sets in. Licenses were 0/0 and the DCX, Ford and GM tunes were “missing”.
Connected the device to WiFi, and there was an update.
After the device rebooted again, the missing tunes were found and Licenses was 1/0.
Now just have to wait for the ECM to be returned. Can’t wait!

Thanks!
